OC Transpo is getting ready for massive changes to its bus routes next month, and officials are asking the public to get familiar with those changes sooner rather than later.

More than 100 bus routes will be cancelled or have reduced service as of Sept. 4 in order to save $20 million over the next three years.

The city officially launched a campaign Wednesday to inform commuters of the changes.

A new website, CheckYourRoute.ca, and an online travel planner have been launched to help bus passengers determine their modified routes.

Signs reminding people of the changes have also been placed on city buses.

Anyone needing help clarifying the new bus schedule can use the city's 3-1-1 phone service.
