Transit riders should expect reduced service between Christmas and New Year's Day, but officials say improved service and a new park and ride at Scotiabank Place will take effect January 8.

Holiday Schedule:

  • Christmas Day – Sunday schedule
  • Boxing Day and December 27 – Saturday schedule
  • December 28 to 30 – reduced weekday schedule
  • New Year's Eve – Saturday schedule with free service after 11 p.m.
  • New Year's Day – Sunday schedule
  • January 2 - Saturday schedule
  • January 3 to 6 – reduced weekday schedule
  • January 7 – Saturday schedule

The O-Train will run on a regular weekday schedule, special school routes will not be running during the break

Service increase will take effect to the following routes on January 8: 4, 5, 16, 30, 87, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 106, 111, 118, 120, 143, 148 and 691.

Routes 4, 38, 60, 62, 87, 93, and 114 will be getting bigger buses to increase capacity and reduce crowding.

The City says it will also add four new rural routes to make it easier for those residents to get into town to go shopping.
