OC Transpo reported to City Council Thursday that their service is improving, informing councilors the “on time” rate for busses is the highest it’s ever been.

But many people who use the service see things differently.

“Exactly on time? I don’t think they ever really are,” said Colleen Hickey, OC Transpo rider.

“It’s always late. Like 5 min. That’s why I’m late for all of my classes,” said Kirat Bhullar, OC Transpo rider.

“Sometimes they come before, or be late. But usually they are very on time,” said Marcela Duque, OC Transpo rider..

CTV Ottawa’s Vanessa Lee put the system to the test.

She waited near Tunney’s Pasture for the #16 which goes from Britannia Park in Ottawa’s West end to Immaculata High School downtown only to find out the bus arrived to the stop eight minutes late.
