Witnesses say it may have been an early morning game of trivia that caused a collision between an OC Transpo bus and car, Wednesday morning.

The collision took place near Woodroffe and Hunt Club at around 7:40 a.m.

The driver of the bus, 54-year-old Sharon Wright, has been charged with failing to stop at a red light and faces a fine of $325.

A passenger on the double-decker bus alleges the driver was speaking to passengers over the intercom system just before the crash.

“The driver drove through the intersection continuing to tell her story and we were struck by vehicles,” says the passenger -- identified as Paul – to 580 CFRA.

The passenger says he has filed a formal complaint with OC Transpo regarding the incident.

“I was extremely angry because instead of driving the bus the driver was talking on the bus and not paying attention to what she was doing and caused the accident,” says Paul.
