Ottawa transit riders could soon be faced with a 15 per cent hike to bus fares after word OC Transpo is considering another fare increase.
OC Transpo officials say they need the money to help pay for fuel costs and expanding bus service in higher demand areas.
Bus passes, tickets and cash fares are all included in the proposed hike that would take effect Jan. 1.
City council will debate and vote on the proposal later this year.
