OC Transpo celebrated its 1.5 billionth passenger Thursday.
Kylee Mackay learned she was the milestone passenger when she was greeted by Ottawa Mayor Larry O'Brien and transit officials as she was about to transfer to another bus Thursday morning.
She received a plaque, a travel mug and free transportation on OC Transpo for one year.
"[Transit] definitely works for me," said Mackay.
OC Transpo's transitway is also marking its 25th anniversary this week.
