They popped up at the Super Bowl and hosted the MuchMusic Video Awards a few weeks ago before wiggling their way to the capital.

Thursday night, LMFAO brought their raunchy, energetic brand of party rock to a kid-filled crowd at Ottawa Bluesfest.

The uncle-nephew duo from California was without its younger member, as RedFoo announced off the top that SkyBlu was nursing a back injury.

RedFoo, whose real name is Stefan Gordy, then launched into their latest single Sorry for Party Rocking to open the set, which also included hits like Shots, Party Rock Anthem and closed with Sexy and I Know It.

"She loves the wiggle dance, loves to dance to it,” said the mother of three-year-old Kiana Perrier, apparently willing to put up with some of the more foul-mouthed aspects of the show.

“What's the best part of being at a music festival? Singing with your favourite artists,” said another concertgoer. “And LMFAO wasn’t the only one I had a chance to sing with . . . this isn't the only singing I've done."

The other chance for fans to belt out a tune was with Carly Rae Jepsen, who closed her set with her international hit Call Me Maybe.

"It's nice to be in the sun, be with my band boys and knock out a couple songs," she said before her set.

Also performing Thursday night were Dragonette, Dirty Projectors, Paul Oakenfold and Charles Bradley.

Friday night’s lineup includes David Grey, a DJ set by Tommy Lee, Arkells, Sleigh Bells and City and Colour.
