OPP say a two-year-old is dead after drowning at a family home in Alfred-Plantagenet, about one hour east of downtown Ottawa.
OPP responded to calls at a residence in Alfred-Plantagenet on Friday around 1:00 P.M.
The child was transported to hospital with vital signs absent and was pronounced dead.
Police say that foul play is not suspected and a post-mortem has been scheduled at the Ottawa Hospital for Monday.
Hawkesbury OPP are investigating.
