It's a one-stop store dedicated entirely to eco-friendly products.

Terra 20 opens this Saturday in Ottawa. It’s the largest shop of its kind in Canada geared to making people greener.

"It’s hard to buy this type of stuff in Ottawa,” said Diana Fox, who reviews eco-products online. “I hope it doesn’t put smaller stores out of business. But it’s a great option.”

Twelve-thousand products will be stretched over 15,000 square feet.

Products like fair trade chocolate, sustainable clothes and eco-friendly toys will be sold. All products will be made in the capital.

The store has engaged 400 vendors from the Ottawa area who either make or sell eco-friendly products.

“I think it’s amazing,” said Kathy Smart. Vendors like Smart will spend time at the new store explaining their products.

Ottawa is the test market for the store but plans are already underway for a second store in Toronto set to open next year.
