There's still no sign of a 70-year-old Napanee man who's been missing for two weeks after going on a hike in New Hampshire.

Peter Shintani headed up Mount Washington in New Hampshire by himself on June 9. He was reported missing when nobody had seen or heard from him a few days later.

A three-day search of the mountain's hiking trails recovered no clues about his whereabouts.

Shintani's photo is currently posted at the base camp and elsewhere on the mountain. The state Fish and Game Department said the search for Shintani will resume if his backpack or other gear is located.

Now Shintani's sister, Jenny Shimono, is urging hikers in the area to keep an eye out for her brother.

She also wants other hikers to take steps to ensure their safety by checking in at the mountain's base camp and letting other people know where they plan to hike if they go alone.
