A 53-year-old Almonte man is dead after a collision on Highway 401 Sunday afternoon.
Ontario Provincial Police say the fatal collision happened when a driver slammed on the brakes, crashing into Michael Cheney, who was riding his motorcycle east of Napanee.
Police say the driver had to slam on the brakes due to another vehicle making an unsafe lane change.
Cheney was pronounced dead at the scene.
