A summer swim at a Gananoque hotel left a mother and her two children fighting for their lives on Saturday, according to CTV Toronto.

Few details have become available about the morning incident at the indoor pool of Best Western Country Squire Resort at 715 King St. E.

But the victims, believed to be a woman in her 40s and her 11 and 14-year-old daughters, had no vital signs when paramedics and other emergency crews arrived. They performed CPR before nearly 30 minutes before the trio were taken to Kingston General Hospital, 30 kilometres to the west.

All three were in critical condition, Gananoque Police Chief Kai Liu told CTV Toronto.

They were part of a family of six guests staying at the Best Western. The womans's husband and two sons were eating breakfast inside the hotel at the time.

Foul play is not suspected, according to police.
