Ottawa Police now say 46-year-old Mary Talbot-Brisson is accused of defrauding seniors out of $350,000 over 10 years and not $500,000 as they originally released.
Police say Talbot-Brisson worked with her daughter 22-year-old Mary Josée Brisson at the Cumberland Lodge Reitrement Home in Ottawa's east end.
Both are accused of defrauding about 18 seniors.
Talbot-Brisson worked there as an administrator.
"During that time, she was able to gain the trust of the residents there and take care of some of their day-to-day financial expenditures," said Det. Brenda McGillvray.
One of the residents she is accused of defrauding is Michel Gauthier. He is partially blind and diabetic.
Gauthier says he trusted the former administrator with his money, now he is a victim of major theft. "From my account it was $7,453; from my pharmacy - $10,000."
Gauthier says he does not trust Cumberland Lodge anymore and is looking for somewhere else to live.
