Ottawa's Montfort Hospital will soon be equipped with a new imaging machine that will help diagnose more patients faster.
A large opening on the west side of the hospital was needed to load the new MRI machine into the building.
Within a year, the new machine will help run 3,500 more tests in the region. In five years, it will help health officials conduct 28,000 more MRIs.
This is the second MRI machine to be installed at the Montfort Hospital.
