A 49-year-old woman is in serious but stable condition in hospital following a three-vehicle collision on the Queensway.
The woman was driving westbound on Highway 417, near the Carling exit, when she lost control of her vehicle just before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
She was trapped in her vehicle for about 25 minutes before firefighters managed to free her.
Firefighters had to remove the rear driver's side door and peel the front door forward.
Paramedics treated the woman for chest, shoulder and abdominal injuries. The drivers of the two other vehicles suffered only minor injuries.
Ontario Provincial Police are investigating.
