Two bodies found deep in the Calabogie woods over the weekend were most likely those of an elderly couple that went missing on Wednesday, say Ontario Provincial Police. A post-mortem will take place Tuesday.

An ATV driver discovered the body of a woman near a trail around 11:45 a.m. Saturday, and upon scouring the scene with a canine unit police discovered a second body, that of a male, around noon on Sunday.

A 2008 Mazda belonging to James Dunne, 86, and 90-year-old Lillian Blondin was also found in the area, although the bodies were positioned some distance away from it.

Police say they do not suspect foul play at this point.

Dunne and Blondin, who were partners, were last seen Wednesday at their doctor's office near the Westgate Mall in Ottawa. They left after they were told their appointment was on Monday.
