Ottawa Police have shut down what they are calling one of the most "problematic addresses" involving crack dealers on Emond Street in Vanier.

Two people residing at the Emond Street apartment were arrested and charged with several counts of trafficking crack cocaine.

Michael Laurin, 21, has been charged with three counts of trafficking crack cocaine, three counts of possession of proceeds of crime, four counts breach of recognizance and four counts of breach of probation.

Jamie-Lee Frizell, 31, has been charged with one count of trafficking and one count of possession of proceeds of crime.

Over the past two months, the Street Crime Unit, working with the Drug Unit, Neighbourhood Officers and Patrol have seized approximately: 92 grams crack cocaine with a street value of $18,400; 100 grams hash with a street value $2,000; and $6,000 in cash.

Twenty-one people in the Vanier area have been charged with approximately 39 counts of trafficking, 30 counts of possessing the proceeds of crime and numerous breaches of court orders.
