Ottawa Police have laid new charges against a robbery suspect arrested Sunday on an outstanding warrant.

Kirvens Lamarre was arrested by police on March 8, 2015 following a pair of bank robberies in Ottawa. Police have not released any details about the arrest.

Lamarre was initially sought following  two bank robberies in November. In both cases, a lone suspect entered a bank and made a demand for cash. The suspect fled with cash in both robberies, and no one was injured.

Police laid additional charges following the suspect’s arrest on Sunday. Lamarre is now facing new charges in relation to two other bank robberies that took place in January. No one was injured in either robbery.  

Lamarre is now charged with:

·         Two counts of robbery

·          Two counts of wearing a disguise

·          Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence

·          Possession of a weapon

Lamarre is scheduled to appear in court again on Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
