Ottawa police are releasing details of an alleged sexual assault that occurred in late February.
The Sexual Assault Unit says a young woman was walking in the Eagleson and Hazeldean road areas in the city’s west end when she accepted a ride. It is alleged that once she was in the vehicle she was driven to a secluded area off Robertson Road and sexually assaulted.
The incident occurred on February 22nd at about 1 a.m.
Police describe the suspect as a black man, about 20 years old, tall, large muscular build, with short black curly hair. He was wearing a black winter jacket with fur on the hood at the time of the incident. Police say the vehicle is described as a black SUV similar to a Hummer.
