Two men are facing charges for allegedly stealing 1,000 litres of diesel fuel from Ottawa businesses.
Police say Heath Bona, 28, and David Vance, 35, have both been charged with three offences, including the theft and possession of stolen gas.
Police say a tip from the public led them to a Vanier neighbourhood where officers recovered four containers of stolen fuel in the back of a rental U-Haul truck on Wednesday.
Bona is scheduled to appear in court August 18. Vance will appear in court three days later.
In the meantime, police are continuing to try to identify businesses that have been recent victims of fuel theft.
