RESOLUTE BAY, Nunavut - RCMP say passengers on board First Air flight 6560 had no warning before the plane crashed into a hillside while landing at the Resolute airport in Nunavut.

One of three survivors, a seven-year-old girl, has told investigators the plane was flying along just fine before it crashed on Saturday.

RCMP Supt. Howard Eaton says the child easily talked about the crash that killed 12 people, including her six-year-old sister.

Their bodies were removed from the crash site Tuesday night.

Eaton says the remains will be taken by plane to Ottawa where dental records, DNA and fingerprints will be used to officially identify the victims.

The Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash.
