Ottawa police have charged a 24-year-old Ottawa man with first-degree murder in the city's 10th homicide of the year.
Lee Batson was charged Thursday night after Paul Hemoc Marcelus, 26, died in hospital after being shot multiple times at a downtown apartment building.
Marcelus was shot in the abdomen, chest, hand and thigh on the seventh floor of 325 Besserer St. at about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say Batson was arrested without incident at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday. He is scheduled to appear in court Friday morning.
