Ottawa man charged with armed robbery of Subway

A 20-year-old Ottawa man has been charged with robbing a Subway restaurant on Carling Avenue last week.

Two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the restaurant at about 9:40 p.m. Friday and demanded money.

They fled on foot with cash. There were no injuries.

Police later arrested a man nearby.

Brian Wellington is charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
