Ottawa police have arrested an Ottawa area man in connection to three retail robberies.

Police say the three robberies occured at a gas station near Bronson Avenue and Somerset Avenue West on July 24, 27, 30. In each instance, police say a lone suspect approached the clerk, with a knife, and demanded cash.

Adam Meathrell, 25, has been charged with three counts each of robbery and possession of a weapon. He first appeared in court on August 3, and is still in police custody.

Meathrell was picked up by police on August 1, 2014. The man returned to the gas station, and was recognized by staff.

No injuries were reported.
