An Ottawa art gallery is asking for the public's help to nab a brazen art thief who stole two paintings from the gallery in just four days.

The latest incident at Gordon Harrison Gallery on Sussex Drive happened on June 30.

A gallery associate saw a man take off with an oil painting at about 1 p.m. The worker chased after the man and got the painting back before the suspect got away.

The same man is believed to be behind another robbery at the gallery on June 26.

The suspect is described as five feet six inches tall. He is in his 50s and has a medium build with a blondish beard. He was wearing khaki shorts, an army T-shirt and a baseball cap.

Police are also investigating.
