One person is dead after their car hit a tractor-trailer east of Ottawa Thursday morning.
Hawkesbury OPP said an orange Kia Rio was travelling on County Road 17 in East Hawkesbury, about 110 kilometres east of downtown Ottawa, around 11:55 a.m.
It then drifted into the eastbound lane and hit a tractor trailer between Tupper Street and Golf Road, not hurting the truck driver but killing the driver of the car.
The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Jeffrey Gregoire of Orleans.
County Road 17 was closed until around 8 p.m. Thursday.
