Health officials in eastern Ontario say residents are waiting twice as long as they did 18 months ago to get an MRI.
Longer wait times are being blamed on a delay in getting two more machines up and running.
Wait times in the region are the longest in the province and have shot up from 160 days to 294 days.
The average wait for an MRI in the rest of the province is below 100 days.
