An Ottawa woman will be sentenced in April after pleading guilty to killing her newborn baby.

Angela Kuehl, 27, pleaded guilty to infanticide Wednesday. Her son died from suffocation, as a result of tying a bag around his head.

Kuehl was charged in October 2007 after a five-month investigation into her son's death.

Police were alerted to the situation after Kuehl went to the Ottawa Hospital, suffering from child birth complications. Officials, however, could not find the baby's body.

Details about the case will be read in court during sentencing on April 21.
