A male driver in his 40s is recovering in hospital after a single car crash on Highway 417.
Ottawa Fire Services were called to the eastbound lanes of the 417 near Galetta Side Road at 1:23 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013.
The initial call was made by a tow truck driver who happened across the scene 5km east of Arnprior. He stayed with the injured driver until emergency crews arrived.
Firefighters found the Ford F150 pick-up on its side with the sole occupant, a man in his 40s, trapped inside.
Crews had to cut the roof off the truck to free the patient. Paramedics transported him to hospital just after 2 a.m.
