An Ottawa man is facing multiple counts of fraud after an investigation into several complaints relating to renovations and contracting.
An arrest has been issued for Charles Soberno, 38. He is charged with six counts of fraud under $5, 000, four counts of fraud over $5,000 and ten counts of breach of probation.
Soberno is accused of advertising renovation and contracting services in local flyers under business names such as H20 Waterproofing, Inc., and Canadian Solar Energy.
He would allegedly attend victims' homes, provide an estimate for work and collect deposits. He would either start a minimal amount of work or never return to victims' homes after obtaining their money.
