KITCHENER, Ont. - Adam Payerl scored three times as the Belleville Bulls defeated the host Kitchener Rangers 6-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Austen Brassard had two goals for the Bulls (24-23-1) while Michael Curtis scored the other.

Tobias Rieder and Andrew Crescenzi each had a goal and an assist for the Rangers (33-14-1), who had their three-game winning streak halted, while Ryan Murphy added a single goal.

Malcolm Subban returned from a groin injury that had him sidelined since mid-December and made 34 saves for the win as Franky Palazzese stopped 43 of 47 shots in defeat.

Belleville went 0 for 4 on the power play while Kitchener scored once on three opportunities with the man advantage.
