A department store in Kingston is closing after its owners reported the store cannot survive the recession.
S&R Department Store on Princess Street will close at the end of July, putting about 80 people out of work.
The store's owners say decreasing profits, fewer American tourists and an increase in property taxes are all factors behind the store's demise.
S&R was opened in 1959 by Maurice Smith and Percy Robinson.
