A young Toronto mother pushed her baby's stroller out of the way of a car just in time to save her child's life on Tuesday.

The mother, however, was struck and killed while she used a crosswalk.

The vehicle was driven by an elderly driver, a woman in her 80s, according to police.

Although it's not clear if age played a role in the collision, the incident has revived the debate about age limits for drivers.

Premier Dalton McGuinty says it's not the government's job to put an age limit on getting behind the wheel. Rather, he says it's up to seniors and their doctors to decide when it's time to stop driving.
