Hamilton Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted in connection with historical sexual assaults that took place in the 1970s.

Police believe 62-year-old Roger Marcotte may now be living in Ottawa.

In February, Hamilton Police launched an investigation into a series of sexual assaults of young boys that occurred in that city during the late 60s to early 70s.

Police allege the suspect developed friendships with boys under the age of 16 in his neighbourhood at the time and sexually assaulted them.

He is described as white, 5'8" with a thin build. He has short grey and white hair, wears glasses and speaks French.

Marcotte has been charged with four counts of gross indecency and four counts of indecent assault on a male.

Anyone who may be a victim or with information on the whereabouts of Marcotte is asked to contact Hamilton Police at 905-546-2990 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
