Maipo Valley, Chile
Stunningly great value! So juicy and savoury, lip-smackingly delicious. Lusciously rich and velvet-textured with fleshy sweetly ripe black plums in this classic Chilean red wine. The wine is matured in both American and French barrels for 8 months. Mocha-chocolate finish. Pair with grilled chicken.
Tuscany D.O.C.G., Italy
Rustic and robust with mouth-watering acidity to pair with tangy tomato meat sauces. Aromas of tart cherry and earth. Made from 100% Sangiovese grapes. Decant 1-2 hours.
Vouvray, Loire A.C., France
This Vouvray also features lemon zest, mango and some lovely, luxurious candle wax notes (the latter, more texture than flavour). Very viscous, voluptuous and mouth-filling. This lovely Loire Valley Chenin Blanc offers floral notes. It's zesty and festive with attractive aromas of white peach. A terrific aperitif or companion to vegetarian dishes. A lick of sweetness makes it versatile with dishes such as glazed ham.
Kamptal D.A.C., Austria
A terrific, dry, zesty Austrian white wine made from the country's iconic grape Grüner Veltliner. Medium-bodied with mouth-watering acidity for shellfish and seafood. No oak, yay!
Sweetness: Extra Dry
Apricot tart and peach jam on this lovely Hungarian dessert wine. Not heavy or cloying, just lovely. Pair with fruiti flans and cobblers.
