Family of missing boater says Misha Novikov's body has been found

An Ottawa family says police notified them this afternoon that a body pulled from the Ottawa River today is missing boater, 24-year-old Misha Novikov.

Authorities were called to the scene just west of the Alexandra Bridge shortly after 11:00 this morning. A bystander had reported seeing a body in the river.

On June 1^st Novikov went missing when his boat was swept into the Deschenes Rapids . Police searched the river but Novikov could not be located.
