SOUTH DUNDAS TOWNSHIP, Ont. -- Provincial police say an eastern Ontario man is facing multiple charges following an investigation by law enforcement agencies in Canada and the U.S.

OPP say the investigation stemmed from numerous allegedly indecent and sexually violent phone calls made to people and agencies in Canada and the United States.

They say 26-year-old Ryan Munroe of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry was arrested following the execution of search warrants at two homes in South Dundas and South Stormont Townships, southeast of Ottawa.

Police say he is charged with six counts of indecent communications, uttering threats to cause bodily harm, and public mischief.

They say he appeared for a bail hearing in Cornwall, Ont., court on Thursday.
