An 18-year-old man died and two others were hospitalized early Sunday morning after a minivan crashed into a tree near Spencerville.
The 2000 Montana van was traveling southbound on County Road 44 just before 2:30 a.m. when it struck a culvert, entered a ditch, and struck the tree south of Goodin Road.
The victim from Edwardsburgh Township was pronounced dead at the scene.
An 18-year-old man from Prescott and another 18-year-old from Edwardsburgh are in Ottawa hospital.
The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating what caused the collision.
