Hungry for adventure and off to the races, came dozens of teams of two, ready to stick together, sink or swim.

It's all due to an international adventure challenge making its seventh stop in Ottawa. Mitsubishi City Chase was inspired by the popular reality TV show The Amazing Race, giving wannabe contestants the chance to try out the competition on their home turf.

"We might get into some scraps, but we won't punch each other out or anything," joked one participant.

Now it's become a tradition for adventure hunters across the world, and here at home. The goal was to reach 10 stops in six hours. Past competitions have included interesting pit stops such as one requiring pole dancing.

Race participants raise money for the Right to Play, an organiziation that teaches life skills through the love of sport. The Ottawa edition of City Chase raised $225,000 for the project this year.
