BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Daniil Zharkov scored twice, Malcolm Subban made 37 saves and Belleville scored all six of its goals in the second period Wednesday as the Bulls defeated the Peterborough Petes 6-3 in the Ontario Hockey League.

Michael Curtis, Austen Brassard, Mack Lemmon and Brendan Gaunce also scored for Belleville (13-7-0).

Nick Ritchie, Andrew Yogan and Joey West countered for Peterborough (11-7-3).

Ritchie opened the scoring for the Petes in the first on a delayed penalty. Peterborough worked the puck down low before Ritchie beat Subban from the left faceoff circle for his seventh.

The Bulls tied it on the power play in the second when Curtis picked up a rebound in the high slot.

That was followed by Brassard and Zharkov's first of the game to chase Peterborough starter Mike Morrison, who gave up three goals on 22 shots.

Andrew D'Agostini took over and fared no better, giving up three goals on the first five shots he faced. Zharkov started things on the man advantage, Lemmon added his first-career OHL goal and Gaunce made it 6-1 with Belleville's third goal on the power play.

D'Agostini only faced six shots the rest of the game as the Bulls scored five times in 5:25.

Yogan stopped the bleeding for the Petes with 36 seconds left in the second. West's goal came on the power play late in the third.
