Ottawa Police are searching for a man who robbed four banks in just one week.

Police say the bank robbery spree started January 2, 2014 at a branch on Prince of Wales Drive. He was armed with a handgun and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The same suspect struck again at two locations on Bank Street January 3 and January 6, 2014.

He also hit a Ridgewood Avenue bank on January 9, 2014. Again, he produced a handgun and got away with cash. In that Ridgewood Avenue robbery, a dye pack may have stained his clothes.

The suspect is best described as being male, black but with a lighter complexion, possibly having freckles or similar under his eyes, 5"8"-5'10"(173 cm-178 cm), slim build, athletic, English speaking with no discernable accent. Age estimates vary.
