An early morning blaze destroyed an abandoned house west of Ottawa Wednesday.
Emergency crews responded to a deserted house on Flewellyn Road near Dwyer Hill Road west of Richmond about 1 a.m.
The fire broke out in the home's basement and completely destroyed the home. Damage was estimated at $300, 000.
No injuries were reported. Fire officials are continuing to investigate the cause.
