Three eastern Ontario men remain behind bars after a brief court appearance Friday morning in connection with two alleged abductions, including the apparent kidnapping of an 18-year-old girl from the Kemptville-area.

Christopher Kyle Alexander Page, 24, of Russell; Roger Richard Levesque, 19, and Whitley Cabrini Clauzel, 48, both of Ottawa, are each charged with three counts of kidnapping while using a firearm and four counts of forcible confinement. A publication ban restricts the media from reporting specific details of the case.

The men were arrested in connection with the abduction of a teen from her Kemptville-area home at about 7:30 a.m. on Thursday.

While the teen was not physically harmed, police say she is now trying to deal with the terrifying ordeal.

"She's extremely lucky, I can't stress that enough. Today, basically, was the worst and the best day of her life," Const. Cathy Lindsey told CTV Ottawa on Thursday.

The men are also charged with abducting a 24-year-old man from his Ottawa-area home early Thursday morning between 3:45 a.m. and 6 a.m. Police say the male victim was driven to a home in North Grenville. He was not injured.

Police advise residents who live in the area not to fear for their safety.

The three men are scheduled to make their next court appearance in Brockville on Monday.

Anyone with information about the abductions is asked to contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or 613-258-3441, or they can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
