Minto has decided to appeal an Ottawa city council decision to scrap a plan for development in Manotick.
The company's proposal to build 1,700 new homes in the small south Ottawa community was blocked on Feb. 13.
Many, including the area's councillor Glenn Brooks, insisted increased traffic and other volumes would negatively impact the community.
Minto says the company will take the matter to the Ontario Municipal Board.
