The man who shot and killed CJOH Sports Director Brian Smith in 1995 has decided to represent himself on new charges.
Jeffrey Arenburg faces up to 20 years in prison for assaulting a U.S. border guard at a crossing in Buffalo, N.Y.
Arenburg is a paranoid schizophrenic - who apparently stopped taking his medication a year before the border assault.
Arenburg was found not criminally responsible for Smith's death due to his condition.
He spent almost 10 years in a locked psychiatric hospital.
