Man wanted for murder on McLeod Street turns himself in

Ottawa Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for 33-year-old Steven Frenette (pictured), who's wanted for first degree murder in the shooting death of 32-year-old Lee Germain. (Ottawa Police)

An Ottawa man charged with first-degree murder turned himself into police Friday afternoon.

Steven Michael Frenette, 33, is accused of shooting 32-year-old Lee Germain last Saturday at an apartment building on McLeod Street near Bronson Avenue.

Police were called to the building just after 4 p.m. for reports of shots being heard. Germain was rushed to hospital, but died from his injuries.

A Canada-wide warrant had been issued for Frenette's arrest.
