31-year-old Mitch Kalil is wanted by police for attempted murder in relation to a shooting on Cummings Avenue in Ottawa on the afternoon of Sunday, Jan. 6, 2014.

Ottawa Police have released a photograph of a man wanted for a shooting on Cummings Avenue on the afternoon of Sunday, Jan. 6, 2014

Police say 31-year-old Mitch Kalil is considered armed and dangerous.

A woman was found suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Kalil is wanted for attempted murder.

The Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs unit is investigating.

He may be driving a rental vehicle that is a grey 2008 Land Rover with Quebec license plate FJC 3383. He may be in Ottawa or Montreal area.

Police warn the public not to approach the suspect.
