Gatineau police are investigating an attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Hull's bar district early Saturday morning.
The victim was taken to Hull hospital with serious abdominal injuries after the 12:35 a.m. incident, which started inside Le Volt nightclub at 175 Promenade du Portage.
He was upgraded to stable condition after undergoing emergency surgery.
One person was taken into custody, police said. No age or name for the suspect or victim has been released.
One hour later, police were called to the nearby Club Addiction at 117 Promenade du Portage after a dispute turned into a brawl involving 10 people, who were all arrested.
One man was hospitalized with minor facial injuries. The charges included disturbing the peace, resisting arrest, and possession of narcotics.
