An Ottawa man will spend his life behind bars after he was sentenced for the murder of a fellow gang member.
Nawaf Al-Enzi was found guilty of killing Mohamed Zalal who was shot in the head in 2006. The two had apparently been feuding over the ownership of a firearm.
Some of Al-Enzi's family members shouted obscenities at the judge after the ruling was delivered on Sunday, and had to be escorted out of the courthouse by police.
Al-Enzi faces life in prison for the killing. A second man, Mahmoud Kayem, was acquitted and released from custody.
