A 21-year-old man is dead after losing control of his car west of Ottawa on Saturday.
Renfrew County OPP said they responded around 12:35 p.m. Saturday to a rollover on Highland Road near Waba, about 80 kilometres west of downtown Ottawa.
They said 21-year-old Erik Nugent was driving a silver Honda northbound when he failed to get around a sharp turn, leaving the road and rolling the car.
Nugent was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they have set up detours onto Sawmill Road northbound and Campbell Drive southbound. They said they expect them to be in effect until the early evening.
